Filter of Hope Mission Trips are structured short-term international service deployments designed for college students, church groups, families, and corporate teams. The primary objective of these trips is physical distribution and installation of point-of-use water filters alongside relationship-based Christian spiritual outreach in materially impoverished communities.
Participants engage in a turnkey deployment model. Filter of Hope handles field logistics, lodging, translation services, and ground transportation. In the field, teams are paired with local church partners to conduct door-to-door home visits, where they assemble and install 10-year hollow-fiber membrane filters, provide clean water hygiene education, and share the gospel message with families.
As a 501(c)(3) Christian non-profit ministry, Filter of Hope’s short-term trips serve as the primary operational vehicle for distributing household water filters in Latin America and the Caribbean and are directly integrated with localized church partnerships.
You can bring clean drinking water and the gospel to families in desperate need of both.
Our trips are affordable, safe, and life-changing! We create custom mission trips for all ages — for church groups, schools, clubs, friends and family. (See below for group size requirements.)
And the best part? We handle all the details.
You could pull together your own team of at least 15 (at least 12 of those must be age 13 or older) from your church, organization, campus, family, or friends. Other options include corporate team-building retreats, trips just for women, trips for fathers and sons, high school groups, college groups, etc. The possibilities are endless.
Often times you can choose dates that work for you and your group — we’ll do our best to accommodate your schedule. We do suggest at least 5-6 months of preparation to build your team and allow time for fundraising and preparation.
Most participants say, “Not long enough!” Typical trips last one week – one travel day to the location, four days of water filter distribution and ministry, one cultural day, and one travel day back home.
We currently have ministry bases in 11 countries – Belize, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua and Panama.
Our model is wonderfully unique:
Your mornings and afternoons are spent connecting with families in our church partner’s neighborhood, getting to know them, providing them with a Filter of Hope water filter, and sharing the gospel. Evenings are spent connecting with your team about your experiences and how the Lord is working. There are always a few special surprises we try to throw in that allow your team to see and experience the local culture.
We provide accommodations designed to allow you to rest and refuel:
We pride ourselves on providing safe, fun, and life-changing 7-day mission trips at pricing anyone can afford:
We even provide you with tools and tips to help you raise money for your trip.
Yes! We’ll provide all the help you need to make this trip a success — we handle all the details.
