127 families reached in 11 villages: “What I had suffered from, I won’t have anymore”

Quentin and Joseph are distributing the water filters you provided during Summer of Hope. So far, they’ve reached 127 families across 11 remote villages and given water filters to other church planters who will extend their reach.

In Koza—a tough area up north where clean water is almost non-existent—a woman pulled Quentin aside after receiving her filter. Her words capture exactly why we do this:

“Seeing all that we have received… May God return it to you a hundredfold. I really don’t know how to express my joy. Because when I received this, I felt that finally… what I had suffered from, I won’t have anymore. Ever since I arrived in Koza, I had a problem with water. My stomach was not doing well at all. So I give thanks to God for what you have done, and may God truly bless you.”

Years of chronic, debilitating sickness vanished in fifteen minutes. And just like in Yombi’s village, that physical relief opens her door to hear about the Living Water.

Please keep Quentin, Joseph, Yombi, Blaise and all these local planters in your prayers. Pray for clear roads, physical strength, and open hearts as they carry these water filters and bring hope.

“The filters give big joy everywhere we go”

Quentin, Filter of Hope’s indigenous director in Cameroon, told us that as he travels he has been giving one filter to each church planter to enable them to go into one more village.

All that is changing now.

With a smile, Quentin told us, “After I meet with them I say goodbye with ‘The filters are coming!’”

Your gift is making a difference already. Quentin is excited to share photos soon of the filters arriving and going out to people. “The filters give big joy everywhere we go.”

Campaign goal met! Thank you for partnering with Cameroon pastors

Because of your incredible generosity during our Summer of Hope: Cameroon campaign, we have amazing news to share. Together, we met our goals—and can change more life stories across Cameroon.

Because you chose to act, indigenous missionaries like Yombi and Quentin will be equipped with life-saving water filters. And just like the moms who lined up outside Yombi’s hut, thousands of people are receiving clean water for today and hearing the good news of the Living Water for eternity.

Your impact:

  • 1,200+ families are receiving 10-year clean water filters.
  • Local pastors and church planters are equipped with a powerful tool for evangelism.
  • Lives are being physically and spiritually transformed across Cameroon.

We are so grateful for your partnership, your prayers, and your heart for the people of Cameroon. You didn’t just give water—you shared the love of Jesus.

Clean water before the school bell

Imagine having to choose between getting an education or staying healthy.

For thousands of children in Cameroon, drinking water before the morning school bell used to mean risking severe waterborne illness that would keep them out of the classroom for weeks.

Not anymore.

In this video, follow these kids of Cameroon as they start their morning routine with a game-changer: the Filter of Hope water filter.

By removing 99.99% of bacteria, this tiny filter is saving lives, protecting childhoods, and creating a tangible pathway to share the ultimate message of eternal hope.

Meet Quentin, our Cameroon indigenous church planting partner

This Summer of Hope is all about empowering Quentin and his network of 57 church planters in Cameroon to bring clean water and the opportunity to hear the gospel to remote villages throughout Cameroon.

Even when people in the desert can find water, it’s still not clean enough to drink safely. Quentin discusses it here:

Summer of Hope: Help Yombi reach Cameroon’s hardest places

Yombi, an indigenous missionary in eastern Cameroon, was at the end of his rope. He felt his ministry had no fruit, and worse, his own family was suffering from drinking dirty water.

Then he met Quentin, our indigenous Filter of Hope leader in Cameroon, who gave him a single water filter and a simple strategy: Don’t filter the water ahead of time in your village. Filter clean water right in front of your neighbors, and use those 15 minutes to tell them about Jesus.

The results have been incredible. Not only is Yombi’s family healthy, but a line of moms formed outside his house. In a short time of the Spirit moving, Yombi and his wife have led 48 women and children to Christ!

In Africa’s hardest places, clean water opens doors for the gospel that were previously locked.

We are working to reach 1,200 families in Cameroon with water filters and the hope of Jesus this summer. Every $50 sends one household water filter to Africa and equips 58 local church planters like Yombi who seek to fulfill the Great Commission in their villages.
